Membership Recruitment

Attention Members:
The first week of school is here, which means that we will be focusing on membership recruitment.  If you have not done so already, please fill out a new application for the 2014-2015 academic year, and bring the completed form with your dues to Clark Hall room 404H, the Political Science office, or to our first meeting of the year.  The application can be found at the following link,
Our first meeting will be held on September 10th, 2014 at 5pm in Sweeney Hall room 239. Immediately following will be our first Plato Club of the year, which will be held at Grande Pizzeria at 6pm.  Come and enjoy pizza, soda, and fun to celebrate the beginning of a new year!
We look forward to seeing all of you again and sharing our exciting plans for this upcoming year.

Thank You Volunteers,

We would like to personally thank all of the PSA members, and community members who volunteered at the Los Gatos Creek Clean up on August 16, 2014.  Because of the everyone's collected efforts, a total of 25 bags of trash were collected from the creek that day.  If you attended, and did not get your certificate of appreciation, email Frances Herbert with your name and address.

Los Gatos Creek Clean Up

Attention PSA Members,
State Senator Jim Beall is hosting his annual Los Gatos Creek Cleanup on Saturday August 16th from 9-11am. This will be a GREAT chance not only to help protect our local environment by removing trash and debris from a local stream, but also an opportunity to meet many elected officials from around the Silicon Valley. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. Trash bags, trash sticks, and gloves will be provided. Parking will be available at the Campbell Inn, located at 675 E. Campbell Ave across from the park. Also, everyone who RSVPs ahead of time receives a Certificate of Recognition from Senator Beall! Please consider participating in this awesome community event. A Year After Prop 30: Money for Higher Education

Good morning members of Pi Sigma Alpha,

I hope you all enjoyed the holidays! Just as a reminder, our last PSA meeting of the semester is this Wednesday, December 4 in the Pacheco Room located on the second floor of the Student Union. We are pleased to announce the meeting's special speakers: San Jose Vice-Mayor Madison Nguyen, and San Jose City Council member Ash Kalra.

Governor and 2014 Gubernatorial Candidate Abel Maldonado, as he shares his experiences and ideas on immigration policy in California. The keynote and panel afterward will revolve around the politics and policies of immigration reform.
